​The artworks emerge from a space where doubt falls away and something slowly begins to take shape.

Lorenza calls it the Source.

​

It is an inner space from which images, intuitions, and visions arise before rational thought. Every artwork originates here, regardless of the medium, the materials, or the stage of her artistic research.

If the Source is the invisible origin of the creative process, light is its visible manifestation.

​

It is the thread that runs through her entire body of work.

​

It first appears in the sails of her figurative period, inspired by the luminous stillness of American Realism. It continues through the Material Abstract series, where it enters into dialogue with matter, unfolds in the Points of Light series, and keeps transforming in sculpture—through the translucency of alabaster and the reflections of metal—as well as in her reclaimed-material works, where time itself becomes an integral element of the artwork.

Even when it is not visibly depicted, light remains at the heart of her research.

Because every artwork is born from the attempt to make visible what normally remains unseen.

The different series presented in this section trace the evolution of this ongoing exploration. The languages, materials, and forms may change, but the origin remains the same.
